The Craze at New Box

Feb 20

I think it was my second or third time singing karaoke at New Box, now one of the better karaoke lounges in Taiping. 11 of us (then reduced to 9) who loved gathering turned up. Everytime our room will turn into a concerto... cheering for everyone no matter how good or bad we had sung. Oh I definitely love this feeling~!

Girls rule.
I miss the other 3 angles!!
The guys. Can't stop singing even when taking photos.
All of us =)
Lets do it again!

Lets gather again some times this year. I miss all the fun, and I miss all of u~! Muacks!

A Day Trip to Penang

Feb 19

It's time for dad to visit the doctor again, and so we all decided to accompany him in case he is "afraid"... joking larh. We just wanna keep our beloved dad accompanied. Hence we hit the road to Penang. With my sis as the driver. Of which I truly am scared of. And I kept insist everyone to fasten their seat belts. Haha! Real scarrrryyyyy... ...

About 1 and 1/2 hours, we safely arrived our destination - Pantai Hospital. Thank you God.

Dad thought today onwards his left leg will be freed from the plaster bandage, but instead the doctor surprised him by telling that he will be given another 2 weeks of MC. Because this time his foot will be plastered at 90 degree. Guess my dad will need to hop with his right leg and/or continue using his walking sticks. Poor daddy~!

We all thought dad's foot will be unplastered today, and wanted to sign on it.
But then dad kept saying "No no no..." xD
Bth... so I took charge and wrote something on it~!
Ta-da~! Get well soon dad~! =)

After lingering in the hospital for almost 2 hours, dad finally came out with a brand new plaster bandage on his left foot. Hoho! Should I say "congratulations!"? Ahha! I'm naughty I know! xD

Later on Audrey said she wanted to taste again the famous Penang Laksa at Aiyer Hitam. Our uncle used to bring us there for the laska on the way back from Batu Ferringhi. It was years ago, when we both were still kids.

When we were finally there, it was so so jam! Both traffic and human jam. -.- I was thinking the laksa should be damn nice since so many people were waiting for tables. There was this idiotic rude uncle just sat on the table that we had patiently waited for around 20 minutes. Hello, there are people still eating la, respect abit k? And the uncle is a Chinese somore, what a disgrace!

The oh-so-famous Penang Laksa. Finally here!
Waited for a table till blood rushed up to my face!

The oh-so-famous Penang Laksa was so-so only larh! I honestly think (and everyone agrees), mom's laksa taste even better! 100% better! Oh-me-god!

Later during night time, we sent our aunt to the airport as she is going back to Australia today. Smooth sailing auntie. =) Another 2 hours spent at the airport... I was too boring till my bro and I kept disturbing and fighting each others. How kiddy~! But this is how I spent the time more "meaningfully". It was fun bullying someone younger than me 12 years, because I'm the one with the control. Muahaha! xD

Before hitting the road back to Taiping, we decided to have our dinner at Pizza Hut. Great~! And we safely reach Taiping around 12am. Thank you God. Haha~!

锦衣卫

Feb 17

Went to cinema for a Chinese movie today with my friends, and I DID NOT REGRET! Yay! ^^

Previously I told myself I'm not gonna waste my money to see anymore Chinese movie in the cinema, unless it has either Jackie Chan or Jet Li. Because somehow when they say chinese movies are "artistic", I find they sux!

But 锦衣卫, totally change... erm, perhaps abit of my perception regarding Chinese movies!

Starred by Donnie Yen & Zhao Wei. Also starring Wu Zhun, Xu Zi San, and Qi Yu Wu

The story is what a Chinese called 凄美, which means sad but beautiful... It was funny at times, and Donnie Yen as usual, awed me with his kung fu moves~! And I cried in the end! T__T I definitely would wanna watch this movie again. (So now in total I wanna watch again 2 movies! Haha!)

Okay so now I guess I'll add 1 more person in my list... Donnie Yen. If a Chinese Movie has Jackie Chan, Jet Li or Donnie Yen, I'll watch it in the cinema~! Yup yup yup! =)

WooHoo!

Feb 16

Every year we would have a CNY gathering. Like last year, we held one at Ching Ni's house. This year's invitation was done thru one social networking site that you and me like to visit... Facebook~! Yup~!

This year's gathering was organized by a gang of friends that called themselves "五虎" xD
Because it is the year of Tiger.
Zero Cost, but everyone hafta bring something... a potluck gathering?! -.-

And so I made this... Cute bear bear jellies =)
Which were the first and only food that were finished that night~! Proud proud~! =)
With Ching Ni, the house owner as well as one of my best friends~! ^^
With Soo Chean, another best friend of mine~!
I think this picture is lovely~! ^.^
The Seven Angels (this is what we called ourselves during high school... funny huh?! xD)
Erm... there is definitely nothing wrong with your calculation, because only 4 of us turned out tonight! The other 3 were... oh well... we will meet sometime later~! =)
All the leng luizzz~! =)
Now with the guys~! =)
And not forgetting that we ended this gathering with "lou sang" =) Nice~!

We have around 30 plus or less people turned up for this gathering, the numbers were lesser than last year though. Well, at the end of the gathering we were already thinking what to do for next year CNY gathering... xD Perhaps some ball kind of gathering at Flamingo Hotel?

Oh ya, thru the chit-chatting I got to know that my high school produced quite a number of stars for the year of 2004. One of them is the winner of Supermodel called Sam Ong... well, he was just in the next class to mine but I never noticed him. Even though I saw his pics and no matter how hard I tried to, I still can't recall that he was my schoolmate...! LOL xD Another one is Kok Wai, very talented dancers, and according to Ching Ni he won the "Show Me You Can Dance" talent show.

Well well well... what will I be?? Que Sera Sera... ...

Reunion Dinner

Feb 15

I just came back from grandpa's house. What a tiring day...

Today was a very busy day as it was our family turn to prepare the reunion dinner... =) You must be confused why we had reunion dinner on Chor Ee huh? My family has this very "special" tradition. Because we have 3 Shu's families here, thus each family will prepare dinner on 1 day... and hence, we have 3 reunion dinners in total for every year... haha! Such a "full-filling" CNY huh!

My family =)
Sam Suk (uncle no. 3)'s family =)
Lai Suk (youngest uncle)'s family =)

Mom decided to make it simple and nice this year... and hence we had...

KFC~! and fruit salad~! Simple yet nice leh... =D
Look at my dad's leg...
He had to go for an operation because of a broken tendon.
The result of playing badminton without warming up first!
Get well soon dad =)
The youngest member of our families. Only 2 years old and she knows how to pose for photos!

What a day~! =) As we were on the way back, we were already discussing what should we prepare for next year reunion dinner... haha~! =)

Chor Yat

Feb 14

When I grew up, Chinese New Year is like "just another day"... except it comes with all the mouth-watering dinners, mandarins, love letters, and not to forget the ang pausSS!! XD Gone were the days when I was always looking forward to CNY, which full of all the thrills (which I don't recall what) and fun with cousins... But now, everyone has grown up.

This year, I wanna make it a little different... and so today, I woke up, and played dress-up~! Hahaha! (>.^)V

Actually was too boring, till we started to camwhore... xD
With dad who hardly smile in front of the camera
Mommy~!
Charmed? Charming? X.X
With Alvin, who has gel-up his hair... -.- This millennium kid... tsk tsk tsk...
"Lak ku (Hokkien)" means uncle number 6 =)

Sunburn

Feb 13

Okayyy... those who knew and saw my second sis - Audrey - before would have a rough idea of how fa... I mean, plump she was. Now if you have the chance to see her again, she was soooOOOooo darn hawwtttt~! O.M.G.

She weighs only 42kg now, while I'm 47kg!! HELL I MUST DIET already!

But when I think of the reunion dinnerSSS that we were going to have this one whole week... I go T__T

And so I thought I could do with some exercising, and thus offered to wash all 3 cars of the house, and helped mom to clean the floor outside~! My uncle said I was never that hardworking before... what larh?! Sweat sweat sweat... -.-" But I enjoyed the chores somehow =)

And the result is... I don't know whether I reduced some weights already or what. But what I do know is... I got sunburn all over my back!!! It is sooOOoo painful... Woowoo T.T I learnt the lesson of never to wear spaghetti clothes when washing cars. Better still, never wash car under the scorching hot sun! Its rays just lay on me without mercy!

Now I hafta bear with the pain... T_T
And babe cannot sing something like... "I'm bringing sexy back" liao... joking XD

Home Sweet Home

Feb 12

Suffered 6 long hours, finally I'm back home! Aaahhhh... home sweet home~!

No, the highway was not that jam. It was my car that caused me the trouble. I hafta stop at several rest areas to cool down the car temperature. And the worst thing was, I hafta maintain the speed at 90-100km/h!! I was darn sleepy larh X( And the scariest thingy was that I hafta stop by the highway right before the Ipoh tunnel because the temperature rose to 5 bars suddenly... luckily I'm not the only one there... There were several other cars too. Apparently they were having the same problem as mine. But, this was not so safe either... because I'm the only girl there. X( After an agonizing 30 minutes of being BBQ-ed under the hot sun, a gentleman came over and offered to help. He said he is a foreman... Well, under such circumstances I hafta trust him... Several uncles also came over to ke-poh... XP All thanks to that young gentleman, without him I don't think I can get home that soon~! God bless him~! =)

Right after I came home, we went out for a delicious dinner at the usual restaurant in Kamunting, cum to celebrate Mei girl's birthday in advance... Yum yum yum... all the nice food! =)

Happy Be-early Birthday darling dear~! ^^

Back home, something awed me... Let the below pictures tell the stories, I took them secretly...

Alvin, my youngest bro, was discussing something in the phone with his friend...
Which sound really serious...
When I paid attention to their conversation... OMG...
They were actually calling each other on some online game matters...
My god... nowaday's children... XD
